Reschedule & cancel

Move an appointment to a new time or cancel it, and what that means for its visits.

Plans change. You can move an appointment to a new time or cancel it from its detail page.

Prerequisites: an existing appointment.

Reschedule

  1. Open the appointment from the Calendar.
  2. Edit it and change the date and time (and provider or location if needed).
  3. Click Save.

The appointment — and the visits under it — move with the new time.

Cancel

  1. Open the appointment.
  2. Set its status to Cancelled.
  3. Save.

A cancelled appointment stays on record (it isn't deleted), so you keep the history. Its visits can be marked Cancelled or No-show as appropriate.

You'll know it worked when…

The appointment shows at its new time, or shows a Cancelled status.

Note: If you've already recorded services or created an invoice for a visit, cancelling the appointment doesn't erase those. Handle any billing separately — for example, void an invoice that's no longer owed.
