Discount profiles

Create reusable discounts (senior, multi-horse, staff) and assign them to clients to apply automatically.

A discount profile is a named, reusable discount you assign to a client. Once assigned, it applies automatically to their invoices — no remembering to add it each time.

Prerequisites: Admin or appropriate permission.

Create a discount profile

  1. Go to Settings → Discount profiles.
  2. Add a profile and give it a clear name (e.g., "Senior 10%", "Multi-horse").
  3. Set the discount (a percentage or a flat amount).
  4. Save.

Assign it to a client

  1. Open the client's contact and edit it.
  2. In billing preferences, choose the discount profile.
  3. Save.

You'll know it worked when…

The client's invoices show the discount applied automatically.

Tip: Use discount profiles for recurring discounts tied to a client. For a one-off reduction on a single bill, use a per-invoice discount or courtesy adjustment instead.
