Link inventory to services

Have supplies come along automatically when you bill a service.

Some services always use the same supplies — a vaccination uses a syringe and a dose of vaccine. You can link inventory items to a service so they're included automatically, keeping both billing and stock accurate without extra clicks.

Prerequisites: the service and the inventory items exist.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Service catalog and open the service.
  2. Find where you can attach inventory to the service.
  3. Add the inventory item(s) it consumes, with the quantity used by default.
  4. Save.

What happens at the visit

When you add that service to a visit, the linked supplies come with it. The right amount of stock is deducted, and you can adjust the quantity if a particular visit used more or less.

You'll know it worked when…

Adding the service to a visit also pulls in its linked supplies, and stock for those supplies drops accordingly.

Tip: Link the consumables you always use together. For occasional extras, just dispense them on the visit as needed.
