Professionals, suppliers & pharmacies
Track referring vets, farriers, trainers, the companies you buy from, and pharmacies.
Not every contact is a client. decavet keeps the rest of your network in the same address book, labeled by category, so you can reference them without cluttering your client list.
Prerequisites: none.
The other categories
- Professional — referring vets, farriers, trainers, and other professionals you work alongside or refer to.
- Supplier — the companies you buy medications and supplies from. You can link a supplier to inventory items as the preferred source.
- Pharmacy — pharmacies you send prescriptions to.
Steps
- Click Contacts → New Contact.
- Set the category to Professional, Supplier, or Pharmacy.
- Choose Individual or Business as appropriate.
- Enter the name, address, and contact methods.
- For a business, you can record a primary contact person and an account number.
- Click Save.
You'll know it worked when…
The contact appears under its category in Contacts and is available to pick where relevant — for example, a supplier when setting up an inventory item.
Tip: Filter the Contacts list by category to get a clean directory of just your suppliers, or just the professionals you refer to.
